Fables: The Dark Ages

Fables: The Dark Ages (Fables, #12)Fables: The Dark Ages by Bill Willingham

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Eschewing a happily-ever-after ending from the previous year’s War and Pieces, this volume begins an epic conflict with Mister Dark, the embodiment of evil. As good as Fables is, reading this volume is like picking up the first chapter of the second book of a trilogy: great if you’ve read the first book, but confusing and unresolved if you haven’t.
